ARS' Custom Printed Freezing Straws have professional quality text printed on frozen semen straws. We start with our .5 ml Freezing Straws and print up to two lines of 53 characters on each straw. Text can include the animals name, business name, registration identification, date of collection or any other information you want. See below for details. The text is applied using a thermal process which results in text that cannot be wiped or rubbed off.
Customers may use a combination of upper and lower case letters on printed freezing straws; however, to ensure legibility, ARS makes the following recommends:
- Use all upper case letters for ease of readability
- Use a minimum of 4 spaces between slashes(/) for dates you plan to write on the straw later
- The double quote character (") is not allowed but can be simulated with two apostrophe (') placed together. Note: the ('') counts as two characters
Minimum order for printed freezing straws is 100 straws. There is a $2.00/100 surcharge for colored straws. Expedited service is available for time critical orders. The expedite charge is $20.00 per 100. See "Turnaround Time / Shipping" tab for details.

Animal Reproduction Systems diligently works to ensure that our Custom Printed Freezing Straws are shipped out to our customers as quickly as possible. During busy times of the year this will typically mean that the straws will be shipped within a week of the order date.
We have added a new surcharge to expedite shipping of Custom Printed Freezing Straws for customers who have a critical need to have their straws shipped immediately. Expedited Requests on Custom Printed Freezing Straws will typically ship Monday through Friday within 24 hours after placing the order.
Shipping considerations: Expedited and non-expedited straws should not be mixed on the same order. When ordering straws with other ARS products, note that the rest of the shipment will be held until the custom printed straws are ready.
